This week’s yoga class from my front room (available at: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cYR67zq6Vo0), focuses on side-bending which benefits posture, balance and spinal flexibility. Side bends also gently stretch the intercostal muscles between the ribs to improve lung capacity. I will be posting two classes a week. Please find them on https://exeteryoga.org/yoga-online-classes. I really appreciate the support at a difficult time like this while my usual teaching is on hold. My dear yoga friends
I’m thinking of you during these troublesome times and I hope you are keeping well. I have decided the responsible approach is to follow government advice to protect ourselves, the elderly and the vulnerable and to cancel classes from now on during the covid 19 pandemic.
I feel very sad about this and I shall miss sharing the yoga practice with you. Please look after yourselves and your families and friends, I’m going to attempt to video some classes to share with you although I’m not technically minded and have never done anything like that before!. . There are also lots of online classes so please keep up your practice.
On a positive note it’s the Spring equinox on Friday and it was lovely to see some sunshine yesterday and lots of new growth.

As we move towards Spring🌿 a flowing practice will include gentle heart opening poses to improve spinal alignment, posture and balance. Also postures to gently strengthen the legs and hips. We will work gently towards dancer pose.

On Sunday 16 February 12.00-2.00 pm I will to be teaching a special alternative Valentine’s Day 💚Yoga class at the David Lloyd health club in Exeter.
Take some time out to care for yourself💐. The class will include heart opening energising yoga flow, nourishing restorative postures and guided relaxation.
