Breathwork is so powerful & important I always incorporate it into each class .. it anchors us to the present moment.. clears the mind and connects us to our body .. our home for life taking us away from the busy mind chatter & into a nice serene calm space 😍

Next Wednesday we are welcoming Anna back to the evening yoga class as she makes her return from maternity leave.
Luna has done a marvelous job in keeping the class "flowing" in Anna's absence and we are very grateful 😇
Luna will continue to teach pilates on a Tuesday night and will cover any of Anna's absences moving forward🙏
I am sure we will all make Anna welcome 🥰

💜Stretches inner thighs, quads , ankles & knees.
💜Widen the knees mat width for a deep hip opener.
💜Boosts digestion
💜Enhances blood circulation
💜Relieves anxiety
💜Helps stretch & lengthen the spine
Hop on to your mat or carpet & walk your knees mat width. Sink your hips back to your heels ( big toes to touch ) melt you chest, forehead & forearms palms into the mat. Stretching your body out to almost to reach toward the top of your mat. Allow your breath to find those tight muscles & areas of tension, let the exhale release the tension within your mind & body bringing you back into a nice

catch a moment to check your breathing .. what tempo your @ .. where can you feel your breath travel to .. are you filling up your lungs deeply & filling your belly.. rib cage ?
Focus on inhaling in through the nose & sending a nice big inhale into the belly & as you slowly exhale allow a big sigh to be released out through the mouth ! Let any tension & stress be released 🗣
Inhale and invite a fresh does of calmness into your wonderful body ✨ and allow all your cells to shine bright🌟
Tune into your body even if you have just 2 mins ☺️ is it trying to tell you anything ..
Tightness in any areas ?

Mind over active ?
Breathe and allow yourself permission to stop Reset - recharge - refocus 🙌
Inhale for x5 counts
Hold your inhale in for 2 counts
Exhale for x 5 counts

Don’t be afraid to add blocks into your yoga practice.. they will help you get into the correct poses. Preventing over stretching, wobbling, or generally feeling frustrated by not being where you think you should be !
I find the pics below very helpful & it can make such a difference & your practice much smoother.
Someone mentioned today in class about
' Downward dog ‘ being challenging .. I replied if I had not practiced yoga for 30 years .. I would have the same issues.
So be kind to yourself 👉AHIMSA ( no harm to oneself replace it with kindness instead )
work with your body and listen to what it’s trying to tell you & honour it .. if the blocks ◽️◾️◽️◾️ help or in general if your flushed from to many sun salutes & need a recovery take a child’s pose for a few deep breaths 👏
No one is judging you .. only your self!
So less judgement ..SATYA ( no judgment/ truthfulness .. be true to the situation & yourself )
