Have you ever tried this practice as a gateway to meditation? To me, gazing at a candle ๐ฏ or is so mesmerising, it easily takes you inward ๐. Try it with the candle lit a comfortable distance away from you, relax your breathing, and soften your gaze. Allow yourself to get absorbed by the colours and shapes of the burning candle ๐
Some warm-ups and variations here, so many nuances within each shape โบ๏ธ. Our practice is so different every time we get on the mat, just experimenting and being curious, not needing to "get it right." I'm just happy to discover a different sence into what I'm feeling in any given shape. The body is wonderful if you allow it to be ๐

Stages to ๐. Warm up to lengthen the side body and hamstrings then bring awareness to each stage in approaching this asana ๐.
If you try it, be conscious to lengthen the sides of the body (arms overhead first) and keep the sit bone of the folded leg down ๐. Where hamstrings are tight, bend the knee and isometric pull that heel toward you ๐
I think of it as getting all the benefits of sitting in / and / seated forward fold ๐ It really tones the abdominal organs .

Maybe the mantra will change, but for now, it's one that's supporting the amnanda treatment therapy I'm having ๐ Amnanda helps reduce all layers of stress in the body which I can feel palpably shedding away, it feels a transformational time for me, and perhaps as we step into spring too ๐ท

Probably having such long arms enables me to position my hands in in or ๐
I ensure my chest, shoulders and wrists are warmed up and open first ๐
However, I've been trying a lovely from amazing .sears in this position; inhaling from the heart into the right elbow, exhaling back to the heart then inhaling from the heart to the left elbow and exhaling back to the heart. Then reversing this fig 8 pattern ๐
If you try it, be guided by your breath, breathing into it, soften your body where it might be tightening, and let it go ๐
