We write with the unfortunate news that this week's premiere of the St Andrews Scottish Songbook has been postponed as unfortunately Jamie MacDougall is unwell with CoVid. We all send our well wishes to Jamie and hope for a speedy recovery.
We invite you to join us this Saturday from 7-8pm in the University of St Andrews Music Centre for 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤: 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, an evening of conversation and song. In an intimate setting, we will go on a journey of discovery into the soon to be premiered Songbook which features 22-newly commissioned arrangements of Scots and Gaelic Song.
Seumas Begg (tenor) and Scott Mitchell will lead the music making, with contributions from a number of the composers including Pàdruig Morrison, Mary Ann Kennedy/ Màiri Anna NicUalraig, and Eddie McGuire. The evening will be free to attend, and you will be invited to pay what you feel at the end.

Singing for Lung Health and Well-being || The festival started today with a special session led by Rachel Hynes. Our weekly participants were joined by new members of our community, and we loved having Mary Ann Kennedy/ Màiri Anna NicUalraig with us too. We enjoyed hearing two songs sung from Mary Ann's base in Ardgour and we learnt a beautiful rocking lullaby in Seal 🦭 (yes you heard that right!).

The festival continues tomorrow with St Salvator's Chapel Choir, St Andrews performing at lunchtime in the University of St Andrews Music Centre.
