We are not meant to hold onto our emotions, we are meant to feel, experience and then express and release them. Because of our ‘holding in’ or ‘repressing patterns’, the natural cycle does not complete itself and emotions can get trapped in our body. Over time, these stuck and trapped emotions become dense and have the ability to develop into an illness.
Because of the powerful ‘letting go’ and ‘moving’ ability, it can really help to support the body to release the physical energy of that tough emotion we’ve held onto. Allowing it to rise, release and complete its natural cycle, which allows the body to feel safe and supported.

I've wanted to try acupuncture on my little boy for quite a while. But a few years ago a wise friend of mine said to let him come to me. Don't rush him. if he's not ready, and i push, it might put him off forever.

Patience is something I struggle with daily... But I waited. Over the years I've told him about my work. I told him how I love my job and that I feel like I'm playing with magic every day. He took it all in. He waited and he watched. Then one day, not long after his seventh birthday, out of the blue he said he was ready…. Well, he said he was scared… but ready to try!
Like all the best things in life, it was worth the wait. He loved it! Asked for it again the next day. I'm super proud of my brave little dude. He's my hero. I love you Mannix x x x
