2. Why? Our minds (and bodies) were designed for deserts and jungles. Yet the modern world brings complex issues from healthcare to homelessness to stupid wars and social networks that numb our minds.

3. Luckily, or by divine design, AI is here to augment our thinking and allow us to survive and thrive in this complex world.

4. Our goal in MindLi is to develop and deploy a digital tool that will serve as a copilot for individual thinking. We have been running this for the last six months. In this post, I will share three ways to start with MindLi, depending on your personal style.

Thinking Spark for the weekend, FCC bans AI-generated phone calls. For the first time, a decisive action by the FCC to block AI -- and rightly so. Free speech and innovation are not a license to destroy. In the same way, you can not yell "Fire” in the cinema and cause havoc; we should not allow AI to destroy society as the old social technology (Facebook, TikTok, etc.) did. Just my 2 cents.

FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel underscored the threat posed by malicious players who exploit AI-generated voices to orchestrate unsolicited robocalls, targeting vulnerable individuals, impersonating public figures, and disseminating misinformation to voters.

Big news: Bard is now Google Gemini. Google will try to give a fight to the dominant and first-mover OpenAI ChatGPT (aka "Microsoft's-nonofficial-cool-AGI-lab").

It seems from Goolge's marketing (good for you, Google) that they have done work to bring the latest in LLMs and connect their Gemini with other Google services.

It comes with a cost (same as Open AI) of $20 but is free for two months.

I have been using Bard and ChatGPT for 3-4 hours a day for the last month (due to a big project I have engulfed myself in; more about that later). ChatGPT 4 is better, especially in coding issues.

Bard becomes Gemini | Ultra 1.0 and a new mobile app Supercharge your ideas with Gemini. You can already chat with Gemini with our Pro 1.0 model in over 40 languages and more than 230 countries and territories....

TEVA - Bio-Mix Program of 2022 progress with new students and mentors.

Bio-Mix is a business program created by TEVA together with i8 Ventures as part of Teva’s National Forum for Bio-innovators for doctoral and postdoctoral students from Israeli leading universities.

The purpose of the program, led by Professor Yesha Sivan, Founder & CEO of i8V & Digitalrosh, and Dr. Dana Bar-On, Director of Teva's Academy Relations at the Global R&D Division, is to connect the laboratory and research to “real life.” 2022 is the third cohort of the program.

This year there is a new element - a mentorship. 12 Graduates from the previous cohorts were chosen to serve as mentors for the 2022 cohort, in order to guide the participants throughout the process while continuing their collaboration with Teva and improving their own skills.
On February 8, we held a kickoff meeting of the mentorship team. I8 Ventures was responsible for the professional side with mentoring training. The mentors met and exchanged ideas and thoughts.

In two meetings in February and March, the participants were introduced to startups and leading researchers who practically combine academic work with business - people who translated their findings into companies. The participants had the opportunity to personally meet with key leaders from the health and science industry, present their research ideas, and receive constructive feedback for the next stages.

The Teva BioMix program for 2022 has been launched! Teva and DigitalRash are happy to open the new year with a first meeting in a program that connects between academia and industry. In the first session, which took place in Zoom, the doctoral students met their fellow program members, introduced themselves and their areas of research.
The meeting was hosting Zachi Schnarch from the Israeli Innovation Authority, who spoke about the centrality of biotechnology in the development of high-tech and the state's efforts to advance the field, and Dr. Ilana Mandel from Biond biologics, who spoke about the journey from academia to commercial success.
During this upcoming year, the participants are expected to take courses and workshops that will connect them to what is happening in the industry and deal with the development of a research idea to a product.
This year, for the first time, participants will be accompanied by mentors- successful participants from previous years.
We, for our part, will continue to update you on the fascinating journey of the Israeli scientists.
