Darwin Conrad Delizo, the coach of the University of the Philippines Baguio’s Men’s Basketball team (UPB MBT), has called for providing more support to student-athletes and offering sports programs following the university’s stint to Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) athletic meet.

In an interview, Delizo said he believes offering such programs would allow student-athletes and varsities to focus more on core sports courses and require UPB to hire more coaches for the Human Kinetics Program (HKP).

“Malaking boost ‘yan sa UPB. Malaking tulong ‘yon. Magiging additional advertisement sa school and makapag-hikayat ng athletes to study in UPB,” Delizo added.

Our UP Baguio Varsity athletes showcased commendable performance in the recently concluded CARASUC Meet 2024!

The Men's Basketball team, under the guidance of Coach Mr. Darwin Delizo, secured 3rd place in the Basketball 3x3 event, competing against MPSPC among five teams. Similarly, the Women's Table Tennis team, led by Coach Prof. Fernando Florendo, secured 3rd place against BSU among six teams. Although our Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Team and Men’s Badminton Team did not secure a place, they performed really well in their respective events. 🏀🏐🏓🏸

UPCAT 2025 applications are open from 15 April to 15 May 2024, for incoming new first-year students for AY 2025-2026.

Current Grade 11 students, who are expected to be in Grade 12 at the time of the UPCAT, are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit their Form 1 within the deadline to take the exam on 10 to 11 August 2024.

Schools must fill out and confirm their students in the Form 2A portal from 15 April to 22 May 2024, in order for the applicants to be issued their test permit in July.

Applicants must then revisit the portal after the exam in 12 August to 15 September 2024, to fill out their grades for Grades 8 to 11 in the Form 2B portal and submit the hard copy of their SF-10/Form 137/Student Permanent Record to the UP Office of Admissions located inside UP Diliman, Quezon City.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Student Relations Office would like to remind all students and organizations that the Moratorium for extracurricular activities begins on May 20, 2024, two (2) weeks before the start of the final examinations, until after the final examination week.

External activities will not be endorsed during this period. However, general assemblies and meetings may continue provided that these activities will not demand a considerable amount of time off from academic work.
