🌟 Supporting Every Family's Journey 🌟

Our first Family Trends Report shows encouraging trends, signifying progress as we work towards creating a Singapore that values and supports families through every life stage.

Singaporeans feel that their families are resilient and have the capacity to tide through challenges together. There has been increased marriage stability in recent cohorts of marriages, and parents of young children have greater access to affordable and quality preschools. We are committed to supporting families through initiatives that promote resilience and growth.

Together, let's create a Singapore Made For Families 💪❤️

Max (not his real name), 16, used to hang out with peers experimenting with alcohol and to***co, and was involved in numerous fights. His strained relationship with busy, stressed parents added to his challenges.

Entering the Singapore Boys’ Home initially left him feeling angry and betrayed, and he thought it was a waste of his time. He also struggled to catch up with his studies at the very beginning. However, with the guidance and encouragement of his teachers, caseworker, parents, and a dash of determination, Max excelled in his examinations.

“Coming to Singapore Boys' Home helped me realise I needed to change my attitude and mindset,” says Max.

This is his story of transformation.

of my week in New York 🇺🇸

Back in the Big Apple for the annual Conference of State Parties on the Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the UN HQ.

Happy to have disability advocate Tseng joining me this time. Together, we shared about Singapore’s efforts towards a more inclusive society – from ensuring more children with disabilities receive early invention support, to launching our first Enabling Business Hub that brings employment opportunities closer to where persons with disabilities live.

🇸🇬 🌏🤝 Also had the chance to connect with and learn from advocates and leaders from around the world. We all share a dream of an inclusive future where all are enabled to lead their best lives, realise their full potential, disabilities or otherwise ❤️

to do more and dive deep after the weeklong series of meetings! 🔋
