Teo Poh Siang, MD, Wisely 98 Pte Ltd, together with other committee members the Association of Strata Managers represented the association to receive the Certificate of Recognition on Accreditation Scheme for Managing Agents at a ceremony yesterday (27 June 2024) held at the Building and Construction Authority (Singapore)(BCA).

36 MA Firms are now registered as Accredited MA Firms under two accreditation schemes administered by two recognised associations.

A recent pilot study by BCA revealed that accredited MAs achieved higher satisfaction levels in the service performance as compared to their non-accredited counterparts.

We are proud to announce that Wisely 98 Pte Ltd is an Accredited Strata Firm, under the accreditation scheme administered by ASM.

We also want to thank our Accredited Strata Managers and all our Staff for upholding the standards of services delivered by our company as an Accredited Strata Firm.

Findings from a pilot study conducted by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) indicated that Management Corporations (MCSTs) have reported encouraging satisfaction levels in the service performance of accredited managing agent (MA) firms and individuals.💯

MA Individuals can obtain accreditation at the individual level by undergoing a structured training programme, comprising components conducted by either of two BCA approved associations (ASM and APFM) and additional training by the BCA Academy.

The structured programme covers essential areas such as the framework of BMSMA, application of the BMSMA, building services, communication and office administration. The training equip MAs with the necessary capabilities to carry out their duties professionally and offer informed guidance to MCSTs.💯

There are 36 MA Firms that have fulfilled the above accreditation requirements.

Wisely 98 Pte Ltd is one of the 36 MA Firms.👏 Wisely 98 Pte Ltd is an Accredited Strata Firm under the accreditation scheme administered by ASM (https://asm.org.sg/accredited-strata-firms).

Our Accredited Strata Managers are required to complete a continuous professional development (CPD) training for a minimum of eight (8) continuous hours each year. These courses equipped our Accredited Strata Managers with technical, professional and soft skills so that they are able to deliver superior services to serve the MCSTs. 💪

✅️We follow the 10-20-70 learning model adopted by many organisations

✅️ We also adopt the less formal in house tell-show-do knowledge sharing sessions.

Our Founder Teo Poh Siang and Members of the Association of Strata Managers (ASM) at recent Lunch Meeting with Community Associations Institute (CAI), and two sold-out CPD Classes taught by Prof Jeevan D'Mello from Dubai, Mr Pepe Gutierrez from Spain and Mr Tom Skiba from the United States.

The growth in strata developments has fuelled the growth of strata Managing Agents (MA). Strata Managing Agents are appointed to manage the common property of Management Corporations (MCST). Strata management is a specialist area of management service.

There are at least 430,000 strata condos spread over 4,000 active MCSTs in Singapore currently. There are about 100 new MCSTs constituted every year. More strata developments are expected to come on stream in the future. There is therefore a demand for more MA Individuals for strata management.

Our Founder taught Application of Building Maintenance & Strata Management Act (BMSMA) for the Certificate in Strata Property Management at the Singapore Polytechnic for the past 2 days. 17 individuals attended the class. About 35% of the attendees are making a switch at mid-career and have chosen strata management as their new profession. They saw the potential in strata management and believe they could excel equally well in their new career.

At the end of the course, a quiz was conducted. The 3 winners: Sherry Ho, Magendran and Mohd Hafeez were each rewarded with a copy of “A Practical Guide to Strata Management in Singapore (2nd Edition)”.
