International Find the Good Day – created by The Association of Junior League International – is dedicated to finding the good in yourself, your community, and the world around you. Our Journey to Literacy initiative is at the forefront of our mission to empower our community through early childhood education. This hands-on program aims to raise awareness and equip parents with effective strategies to nurture and enhance early literacy skills in their children.

This weekend, we welcomed 101 passionate new members into the JLA family! Together, we embarked on a journey to explore the power of collective impact and the transformative role our members play in the community.
Our new members had the privilege of hearing from current President Chelsea Ulrich Tarnoff and Past President Camille Kesler as well as engaging directly with our community partners, including Savanna Keo with the Midtown Assistance Center, Inc. and JLA co-chairs for Atlanta Botanical Garden and Agape Youth & Family Center. The day was filled with inspiration as we brought to life the JLA mission: advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
We are thrilled to see how these incredible women will continue to drive positive change in our community. Welcome to the JLA!

Yesterday JLA members raced in and cheered on participants the 55th Annual Peachtree Road Race! This beloved Atlanta tradition is the world’s largest 10K and one of our favorite ways to kick off July 4th. We are so proud of all of our finishers and wish everyone a happy holiday weekend!
Kicking off the 108th year of the JLA with our Annual Leadership Retreat!
Hosted at Atlanta SMART Academy, this inspiring day brought together leaders to learn, share, and motivate each other as we embark on another impactful year. Grounded in our mission to advance women’s leadership for community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training, members focused on three key areas of our strategic plan: membership experience, community impact, and operational excellence.
The day concluded with a powerful panel on literacy featuring the Atlanta Speech School and Atlanta SMART Academy. The panel provided leaders with insights into the state of literacy in Atlanta as the JLA launches its literacy focus, Every Child Reads: The Junior League of Atlanta’s Journey to Literacy for All.

Today, the JLA’s nonpartisan advocacy takes on a variety of forms, and is guided by the leagues annually approved series of affirmative position statements that provide a framework for the League’s advocacy.
Tomorrow at the luncheon we will honor Representatives and Kasey Carpenter as elected officials that are working for the betterment of women and children across our city and state.
