This weekend, we welcomed 101 passionate new members into the JLA family! Together, we embarked on a journey to explore the power of collective impact and the transformative role our members play in the community.

Our new members had the privilege of hearing from current President Chelsea Ulrich Tarnoff and Past President Camille Kesler as well as engaging directly with our community partners, including Savanna Keo with the Midtown Assistance Center, Inc. and JLA co-chairs for Atlanta Botanical Garden and Agape Youth & Family Center. Kicking off the 108th year of the JLA with our Annual Leadership Retreat!
Hosted at Atlanta SMART Academy, this inspiring day brought together leaders to learn, share, and motivate each other as we embark on another impactful year. Grounded in our mission to advance women’s leadership for community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training, members focused on three key areas of our strategic plan: membership experience, community impact, and operational excellence.

The day concluded with a powerful panel on literacy featuring the Atlanta Speech School and Atlanta SMART Academy. The panel provided leaders with insights into the state of literacy in Atlanta as the JLA launches its literacy focus, Every Child Reads: The Junior League of Atlanta’s Journey to Literacy for All.

Here’s to another incredible year of making a difference!
