Tell North Carolina Senators to Reject SB49 I just joined the Campaign for Southern Equality and Equality NC in urging NC Senators to reject anti-LGBTQ+ bills like SB49, a broad curriculum censorship bill.
It's ok to ask for help.
It's ok to not be ok.
It's ok to talk about mental health.

Have you faced discrimination at the doctor's office as a trans person? Do you have a loved one who is transgender and has struggled to get needed medical care? Are you an ally who is disgusted by the constant attacks on our community? We need to hear from YOU.
The Biden-Harris administration has released a new rule related to Section 1557, which is the part of the Affordable Care Act that prohibits discrimination in health care. The law itself already exists – and discrimination is already illegal – but trans people are still facing discrimination. This new rule will help expand and enforce our protections. Now, you can tell the government why YOU support equal access to healthcare for all. We're teaming up with Transgender Law Center and Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund to make sure that the government knows that we will . Go to https://protecttranshealth.org/ now and make your voice heard!

"When you have trauma, eventually it needs to be reprocessed. What I'm working on with my therapist now is building up my resourcing, so that when it's time to reprocess the trauma, it's not re-traumatizing. You don't want to flood yourself revisiting that trauma because that can keep you from healing—you have to go slowly. My therapist defines trauma as too much too fast, or too little for too long."

We know the news about the cruel opinion from the Texas Attorney General's office is scary and triggering – so let's be sure to make sure transgender young people in TX and beyond understand that they are loved, affirmed & respected just as they are.
Exactly.
How are you showing up for yourself this year? Are you remembering to give yourself the gift of taking care of you?

This post is for the givers and doers.
May this year bring you the space to be and receive.
I know that for many, the end of year represents the time we come face to to face with our exhaustion.
We wonder how we got here.
Maybe it was another year of being in one-sided relationships with takers, energy vampires or narcissists. Maybe it was the intensity of parenthood or caregiving. Maybe it was being a support beam for someone who really need us. Maybe it was work. Maybe it was the countless hours we spent putting our energy into worries, anxieties, and fears...
Whatever it may be, please remember that you always have the option to return home to yourself. There is always someone waiting for you there who deserves all of the good stuff you give to others.
May the new year bring you back to yourself over and over again. May you find love in every homecoming.
I love you. ❤️
Let’s start off this week on a good note, and release the human tendency to speak harshly to ourselves and about ourselves 🙌
You may not be where you want yet, and you may being seeing old patterns repeating themselves. You won’t get past that by beating yourself up.
You may not be where you want, you may even see old patterns repeating themselves. But you still deserve kindness 💗
