With great sorrow, we share the news that the Fourth of July parade shooting in Highland Park took the lives of two DePaul alumni, Kevin and Irina McCarthy. We remain heartbroken by this news and the seemingly never-ending atrocious acts of violence that have taken the lives of our alumni and countless others. We mourn with Highland Park, Chicago and our nation.

For the first time in two years, DePaul University graduates celebrated the end of their academic journey with in-person commencement ceremonies. Approximately 4,500 Blue Demons participated in the weekend's festivities, while a total of roughly 6,300 students earned their degree this academic year.

Happy Pride Month! DePaul was the first Catholic institution to have both a full-time staff member dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ students and a LGBT Studies program.
