Mission: To connect children with literary resources by partnering with communities to set up free book fairs.
The beauty of reading to young children!
Hello my name is Dannika and here’s the⭐️Inspiration Behind Oliharp Free Book Fair⭐️ The name Oliharp derived from my daughters Olivia and Harper. Oliharp Free Book Fair developed from my love of reading to my daughters and the family bonding time it created. Every night Olivia happily picks out a new book for us to explore, which really gets her imagination running! Outside of being a mother and wife, I’m a former early preschool educator. I taught toddlers for 5 years and I still have some relationships with my former students and families, which I cherish.During my time teaching my favorite thing to do besides experimenting was bringing stories to life with my students. The smiles and laughter are priceless. My wish is to set up free book fairs so that children may have the literacy resources to enjoy in their home and create those strong family bonds! 📚
Thank you for your book donation, we greatly appreciate it!!
⭐️Building strong bonds with babies⭐️ When you read to your baby:
⭐️Your baby hears you using many different emotions and expressive sounds. This supports social and emotional development.
⭐️It encourages your baby to look, point, touch, and answer questions. This helps with social development and thinking skills.
⭐️Your baby improves language skills by copying sounds, recognizing pictures, and learning words. (Source: kidshealth.org)
