This is an excellent virtual tutoring opportunity for all UARK Ed Rising students or any teacher candidates here at the U of A!! No matter your political background, the most important thing is to give back to our students!

Team AOC is looking for Volunteer Tutors for our 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺! ✏️🗒️


After a 4-week pilot program that helped approximately 100 students in Throggs Neck, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗬-𝟭𝟰 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗬𝗖 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 with one hour per week homework assistance in small groups with a Volunteer Tutor.


Volunteer tutors:
> commit to 1 hour per week for 4 weeks
> can begin a 4-week cycle before June 2021
> will review a digital toolkit with training videos and resources
to support you during a Homework Help session
> will work with a community of educators and organizers who
will train and support you, so feel free to sign up even if you
don’t have much experience with tutoring!


𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 who speak Spanish, Bangla, Urdu, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, French and Kru, to be able to help our diverse student community.
