This is a documentary about the incredible life and work of Frei Otto. As an architect and engineer he laid the foundation for contemporary lightweight architecture, and his ideas are still awe-inspiring decades after he revealed them. This fact was cemented when he was named the 2015 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize.

That’s a wrap on ! On Wednesday, 30 Pearl City High School students visited the Center for Architecture and received a tour of downtown Honolulu with three of our architects: Glenn Mason, FAIA; Todd Hassler, AIA; and Jason Takeuchi, AIA.
Several of the seniors who attended will be pursuing architecture in college.

Aloha DC! Architects in Hawaii were well-represented last week as we attended the Leadership Summit.
We had full days packed with meetings on the Hill with our Congressional delegates, inspirational sessions including those from our own Wendy Meguro and her Next to Lead cohort and President David Sellers, and lots of opportunities to connect with far-flung friends and colleagues.
