🧡EWI Supports YWCA’s (DFS) Dress For Success Program
Dress for Success is about WOMEN HELPING and EMPOWERING WOMEN TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. Dress for Success provides JOB READINESS, JOB TRAINING, JOB COACHING, FINANCIAL LITERACY, JOB RETENTION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
On Saturday, February 26, 2022, 11 EWI members and friends of EWI helped sort and size and hang clothing donations received by the “Y”. There were boxes and bags full of clothing, generously donated by the public and we helped ready the clothing for the “boutique” as well as for sale to raise additional funds for the DFS program. It was a momentous task but we also had fun!
Thank you reps from Bank of Hawaii, Highgate Hotels, First Hawaiian Bank, Remedy Staffing, Aqua-Aston Hospitality, Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach, Sheraton Waikiki and Kreative Konnections! In addition to our orange YWCA T-shirts, we were also treated to a chocolate mousse dessert by Café Julia! If you missed out on this fun, volunteer event, we will be volunteering again… date to be advised!
