What a beautiful day for a Biki ride. Happy Earth Day!
Last year, the city planted over 900 trees along public streets to mitigate the heat island effect on Oahu and provide shade for pedestrians and cyclists. The city is committed to increasing the urban tree canopy coverage to at least 35% by 2035. Mahalo for keeping us cool!

Next Tuesday (3/26) Hawai‘i Bicycling League is hosting their first ever Open House and Talk Story event to welcome Douglas Concha back to Hawaii after completing his ride around the world! According to the recently published City and County of Honolulu Complete Streets Progress Report, 4.9 miles of new bikeways were installed in FY 2023! Other projects outlined in the report include pedestrian safety improvements, transit enhancements, traffic calming initiatives and educational efforts.

Hawai‘i Bicycling League's Annual Haleiwa Metric Century Ride is coming up on Sunday, April 28th. Distance options range from 5k to 100k. All skill levels welcome!
2024 Haleiwa Metric Century Ride Kicking off the summer each year we head out to the North Shore of Oʻahu for a Metric Century. The course takes you through Haleʻiwa Town, out towards Kaʻena Point, then back along the shores past Waimea Valley, Sunset Beach, and Kahuku, with the 100km turn around at Hauʻula Beach Park.
