We're seeing double! Congratulations to Bashed Twins on going home! The Bashed Family spent 38 nights at the Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock while the twins got big and strong in the NICU. We're so happy for them! ❤️
School is back and we're getting back into the groove of things. Now is the perfect time to add in some volunteering to your schedule, whether it's once a month or once a semester. We need your help filling spots on our Guest Chef calendar. Our Guest Chefs provide families with a home-cooked meal (store bought or from a restaurant is great too!) so they have less to worry about and can focus on their child's health.
In September, our open spots are on: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th, and 30th.
If you are interested or have more questions reach out to us at (806)744-8877 or email Erica at [email protected].
Back to school fun! A couple weeks ago, our staff in the Permian Basin was out at the new teacher reception for Ector County to give out goodies and information about our programs. We are wishing all our educators a great school year!

We are two weeks away from Texas Tech's first football game of the season! As you're getting ready for the football season--getting tickets, buying new Tech gear, and planning tailgates-- it's the perfect time to add one more thing into your pre-season line up. When you make a pledge or donation to our Quarterback S.A.C.K. campaign, every sack the Red Raiders get on the opposing team's quarterback means more support for kids who are receiving medical care. Get in the game today at www.rmhcsouthwest.com/quarterback-sack.
And, then follow along on social media as we "track the sacks" all season long. You pledge, Tech sacks, kids win!
Coffee helps make our House and the parents who stay here, run! We are so grateful to Day Break Coffee Roasters for being our new coffee sponsors! When they heard we had coffee on our wishlist, they really stepped up to fill that need. Being able to offer a hot cup of coffee every morning or whenever our families need a pick-me-up helps provide comfort when families need it most. Thank you for being part of !
It's time to get back to school! We're grateful to Witt Law Firm and Revolution Mortgage for providing school supplies for our kids in the House. Our families are going through so much in taking care of their child's health. We are proud to have community members who step up to help our families have one less thing to worry about and be ready to get back to school! Thank you!
It's and we are focusing on our younger guests. We need drinks for kids (Capri Sun, apple juice, juice boxes, etc.) and toys for kids of all ages.

We need you! We couldn't do all that we do to support families who have a child receiving medical care without our amazing volunteers. No matter what you enjoy doing and how much time you have to give, there is a place for you to be part of . There are volunteer opportunities like Guest Chef where you can use your joy for cooking for a couple hours to provide families with a home-cooked meal. Or, opportunities like volunteering in our Family Rooms, where you can use your smile and helpfulness to greet families who need a break from the hospital room.

They stopped by to say hi and bring donations for the families staying in the House. We love getting to see our former guests who will always be part of the RMHC Family! ❤️
If your family stayed with RMHC of the Southwest, in our House or Family Rooms, and you would like to share your story or update us, we'd love to see it! You can share your story online here: https://www.rmhcsouthwest.com/former-families/share-your-story/.
There is still plenty of summertime left to have fun! Thanks to Seahorse Community Pool for having our families back out to swim and play. Being able to provide families with opportunities to step away from the hospital and enjoy being together is so important.
