Parenting is considered one of the most intricate and vital roles one can undertake. Each stage presents new inquiries and tough decisions. Every stage along the way brings more questions and difficult choices. Yet honest conversations about parenting challenges are rareβ€”especially during challenging times for parents or teenagers.

Studies indicate that support groups offer valuable parenting techniques, boost empowerment, and foster a sense of community. Additionally, parenting support groups can be especially beneficial for parents of adolescents grappling with anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns.

Join us as we create a space for parents to connect, build community, and cultivate skills to support family unity. This group will meet once a month on the fourth Wednesday; light refreshments will be included. Email [email protected] to participate in the group

Meet Winona!

She is an Intern from the UW School of Social Work. She chose Project Girl because she knows the power of having an older woman as a mentor to help a mentee better understand how to center and love on "the girl." Winona loves how we embrace cultural humility and acknowledge lived experiences. She is excited to meet each of the amazing young women that walk through the doors of Project Girl.
