Wiggle Butts Recovery & Rescue
We help recover the “uncatchable” dogs and get them back home or to safety if home is unknown.
Have you seen or picked up this puppy on Rainier Rd?
On 09/01 two pups were seen by Kimberly Armstrong. She was able to get the white one but the brown ran to the woods of JBLM training area about 2 miles south of Spurgeon Creek. When first seen, he was standing in the middle of the road!!
The other white w/black one seen is safe but we need sightings of the brown one. The white one is very nervous, scared, and shutdown. We really want to get her back with the others so they can all heal and work to get socialized and trust people.
Coincidence? These other two pictured in the crate appear similar in age and appearance and were also seen last night but 15 miles away!! They are safe now thanks to Cortnee Williams and are definitely not the same dogs.

FOUND — NEAR THE NISQUALLY REZ but could be from another area.
If you recognize this pup or the items left with him on a dead end road, can you please reach out?
We really would like to know about history, likes, dislikes, allergies, demeanor, etc. No need to explain anything else and no other questions will be asked.
If by chance you are the owner and are looking for your dog, please get in touch ASAP.
On 8/31, this guy was found with a collar, harness, leash, rope attached, a large container of food, another large container of what may have had water. We don’t know for how long but he was found tied up behind a concrete block by a trail leading to the woods.
Sable Weitzel was on her way home and just happened to see him as he was sitting next to the block and his head was visible. She reached out because he was scared, nervous, and did not know what she would do with him.
He is currently being fostered but will likely go to Joint Animal Services in a few days.

🐾💜SAFELY RECOVERED💜🐾
This morning, we have found out why there have been no sightings since Thursday night.
On Friday afternoon, Amiyah Smith had picked him up as she had also noticed him running around loose. He was hanging out in the same spot that a leash had been tied to a tree (with 3 knots) and at the end of the leash was a harness. 😫😤😭
Now rather it was the owner or not that left him there, we are thrilled and grateful that this guy is safe, out of the woods, off the fast roads, and is scheduled to see the vet tomorrow.
Also thankful for Amiyah reaching out before we went back to the area for an all out search.
This little guy also has someone interested in adopting him!! ♥️
Thank you also to MishaMichele Kelly & Naomi McGivney for searching, setting up and monitoring a feeding station and trap, and all the folks that reported sightings.
Sounds like it is a win, win for this cutie.

LOOSE DOG with porcupine quills on his face near Pe Ell McDonald & Lost Valley Rds., Curtis & Pe Ell.
We really need to find him soon to get medical care because of the inevitable infection from the quills which he may already have. 😭
For several days it has been reported that a smaller, white dog has been seen frantically running around. One person mentioned he may look like a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix.
The area he has been seen is a heavily forested logging area with the nearest home quite a distance away.
We are hoping to find him and need help from others to keep an eye out and observe from a distance.
If you are his owner, please let us know. There were no sightings reported yesterday (Friday) so really hope he is home.
We would also really appreciate donations to help with our cause of getting these pets to safety. As in this case, the area is very remote and none of our volunteers live near plus there is often additional costs for medical needs.
Please help by using our donation link to United Angels and you do not need a PayPal account.

Dime came home in the wee hours.
Her foster left the back gate ajar with a bowl of water nearby, she had also left her crate and blanket on the back porch. When she noticed the water dish was empty and Dime was curled up in her crate, Mom started to go to the window to grab the rope set up to pull the gate to close, then Dime came up to the back door, started scratching, and said “let me in dang it.” 😂

SAFELY RECOVERED HUSKY
This gorgeous dude was safely recovered on Saturday, August 10 after having been noticed hanging out near a couple properties near 54th Ave SW & Trosper Rd. A few neighbors were concerned and wanted to get him safe. Shayna Burmeister met me on location to help.
It appeared he may have run a bit has he was limping and his paws were a bit raw. He also gave all indication that he wanted help as it didn’t even take but a couple of minutes to have him eating from my hand and following.
After initially getting him loaded up, he was a bit aloof but accepting & friendly. After a bit of time, he was quite the Lover Boy.
STEVE DAVE (JAS ID 56542118) is now available for adoption from Joint Animal Services. JAS is the shelter for Thurston County, Olympia, WA.

SAFELY RECOVERED & REUNITED
08/14/24 7:00 AM
Late last night, a call came in that Auggie was back near Butte and 112th. Mom was able to get to the area in just minutes but had no sight or sounds of her. She stayed in the area for a while and set a feeding station in the area that seemed that Auggie would be passing by.
Then early this morning and now a little over a mile from home, another call of a sighting AND she was in someone’s backyard.
Virginia immediately went over and told herself to be calm and quiet but also could not hold in the excitement and gratitude of finally seeing her baby girl after all the days! Auggie then stood up and came running to her Mom!
Outside of her pads being a bit raw from all the running, she seems to be doing well. Mom & family are elated and relieved. All will be sleeping much better and having a wonderful weekend.

LAKEWOOD, WA—08/13, Tuesday
If you are in or going to Lakewood, can you please help look for this scared girl?
She ran off from the dogsitter while Mom was out-of-state for business. Mom flew back the same day and has been searching nonstop.
Every sighting she has been seen, she is running at full speed. She has been seen by the Safeway, Pierce College, Western State, and the Ft Steilacoom Dog Park.
🐾💜REUNITED💜🐾
This guy pretty much drove our stress and anxiety level through the roof. He was lost on Hwy 507, next to busy train tracks, by a river, and was mostly invisible for so many days.
From the beginning, there were practically zero sightings of Frazier in spite of numerous people searching day and night. Then two days ago, there are two reports BUT they were 20 miles apart. The furthest one from point of loss seemed very possible since there haven’t been any sightings. On the other hand, the one at Schaefer Park was more logical but there have been other loose black dogs reported as well.
Two monitored feeding stations were set just in case. Well at about 2:00 AM, Frazier shows, eats, and has some water at the feeding station where he started, Schaefer Park.
Later yesterday, trap is set and he finds it almost immediately. During a night watch with Carolyn Armstrong, that boy must have come to the trap at least 15 times. A few times, he even had all 4 feet in but would not go on or over the plate. Since we knew exactly where his safe spot was, we contact the foster, Amber Smith, at 5:30 AM today to see if she is available to come to the area again to attempt a hand recovery. She arrives and walks and talks outside of his safe spot. We wait. She sits and talks. We wait. She lays down. We wait. Then finally about 2.5 hours later, Frasier comes out of the woods. Amber’s adrenaline and anxiety starts to rise! She tells herself to be calm, be patient, and whatever happens, do not make eye contact! Pretty sure she could hear and feel her heart pounding!! 😂
Then it happens, Frazier starts to make his way to her. He is a bit hesitant. Then he isn’t. Then Frazier is all hers and she rushes him to the car to get him secured!! ❤️
Many thanks to all that cared and helped including Kiki Reed, Carolyn Armstrong, Amy Morgan & Brad Chamberlain for not only searching but help with all the posters, the Park Hosts that let us take over for a day, and a few others that we didn’t get their names.
Of course, the support and efforts from Sue Meier and Caring Hearts 4 Paws who had an extremely rough week of loss.
Congratulations to Frazier and his new old forever home! 💜🐾💜

OWNER FOUND and will be reunited this evening.
His new owner named him “Buster” and his new Mom practically cried when she received notice that he was found and is safe. Buster had found a way to open his metal crate door and escape to the outside while she ran an errand.
She will be studying the 3-3-3 new dog guidelines, getting a reflective Martingale and harness, and a more secure crate when we meet later to get them reunited.
She will also be contacting the chip company to correct the typo in her phone number!
08/05/24 11:55 AM
As known, Ace is chipped and to the new owner however the phone number on file appears to be a fax number.
If the address on file is correct and he was lost from his home, then this little guy had travelled about 5.5 miles!!!
08/05/24 7:00 AM
This little dude, Ace, teased me all night and early morning by visiting the trap but not getting more than his two front paws in. Not only had he been recently trapped, he had been fed by at least three area residents.
At about 6:30 AM and more teasing by Ace, I was chatting with James Branson about the possibility of using the kennel trap or the recent constructed “jungle net,” when I thought it can’t hurt to try the yummy smell of BBQ, so sprayed some liquid smoke inside and Ace could not resist!!
Thanks so much to all in the neighborhood for trying to take care of this guy and especially Stephanie Adkins Bertrand for posting & coordinating. Much gratitude to Karina as well for keeping an eye on him as he went wandering the neighborhood, help with setup, staying up til the wee hours, and then the early morning wake up after he was safely contained.
Now, where is his owner?

LOST DOG
This guy was just adopted last week from RASKC and has been seen running loose since at least Aug 1, Thursday.
He has been mostly been seen in the Rainier Ridge neighborhood, South Hill, Puyallup near 187th Ave E & Rainier Ridge Blvd E.
Just two weeks ago, he had been quickly trapped by Susan Burk with Useless Bay Sanctuary. When she found out about him being loose again, she asked if I could help since she could not at the moment and I was a bit closer.
He is remembering the repercussions though and it is making it a bit more difficult this time. 😩

Does anyone have any 6’ high chain link fence panels that could be donated (just 1 or 12 would be awesome 😩)? Width does not matter and preferably located in Lewis or Thurston Counties.
SAT, 07/27 I forgot to add we will be also needing hog panels (2’ high or greater) to place around the edge to prevent digging or on top for a lid.
Someone saved a young, large breed dog from being euthanized at a local shelter and she got loose as soon as getting to her new home. A recovery effort is in place but she will need a bit more security after she is recovered.
Looking to make a kennel similar to the one below.

DO YOU RECOGNIZE?
Chihuahua X has been seen for two weeks running on or near Lincoln Creek and Michigan Hill Rds SW, Rochester traveling over 5 miles.
Thank goodness this little Chihuahua X did not take as long, keep us awake for days, and have to go through so many efforts to get safe and off the busy, fast roads as the one from a couple days ago.
After trap setup, a whole 6 minutes for this cutie to be safely contained.
Thanks so much for all the reported sightings and Naomi McGivney for searching and setting up a feeding station on Michigan Hill earlier this week.
The sightings today by Amber Montgomery & Shannon Hyde Blanksma were so very beneficial. Shannon not only communicated with us of where the pup was currently located but also all the trails and areas that the pup was going in and out of most all of the day. Naomi rushed to the current location to keep an eye on this pup and leave some itty bitty morsels to keep the pup from leaving until D.D. could get there as she was an hour drive away.
It always takes a village and today, the village did not disappoint!! 🐾♥️🐾

FOUND CHIHUAHUAS
Near Oyster Bay, Olympia
07/18 White being called Kennedy
07/20 Black & Tan being called Tony
07/17 morning, Bonnie Quintero-Smith reported a deceased Black Chi on Hwy 101 and another Black Chi nearby that had run off into the woods. Masyn Vaillancourt went to the area to pick up the deceased pup and to check on the other in the woods. Masyn did not see the other one but did find small paw prints in a muddy area, and left a bit of food.
In the afternoon, D.D. had plans of starting a recovery attempt of a Dane/Anatolian(?) over off of Hwy 8 that had been seen with an injured leg for a month and planned to stop over by Oyster Bay to check on the Black Chi. Masyn and D.D. met on location just before dark and discovered the food that Masyn left earlier had been eaten!!! Earlier, Masyn had gone to Friendly Felines to pick up a trap because the Hwy 8 dog decided to check out the yummies in the trap so D.D. had to take care of her. After meeting, a trap was set for Tony the Black Chi in hopes that he was still in the area.
D.D. hung around a bit while working on gaining trust of the Dane/Anatolian. Then at 5:30 AM, her phone starts blowing up because of activity at the trap!! What is it? That is not a Black Chi! Surprise, it is a White Chi, Kennedy!
Trap is reset for Tony and he is observed going to the trap but not in or really even close. He is also observed walking back up the small hill trying to make his way back to Hwy 101. 😱
A plea on FB goes out to relieve D.D. for a few hours to see if others can help with a Tony Watch to help keep him from coming back to 101 and the one that offered was of course, Anthony Pounds. Well now Anthony was in it and was going to help finish it. ♥️
Caryn Lynn Faucher Salapka also offered to assist and had brought dinner at night and coffee in the morning. She also helped with relief with a Tony Watch and learned of the ups, downs, anxiety, and stress involved! 😄
The next two days and nights, we again sat near the area to keep watch on Tony. We had Kennedy on location to try and use as a lure for Tony but outside of looking at her, he was not interested. We had watched him going up and down the trail near the traps over, and over, and freaking over.
On the last day of watch, Tony had actually made his way across Hwy 101 to the median and Anthony had somehow got him to go back to the area he had been staying.
That final morning, we took Kennedy out and walked her around and this time, Tony immediately came up to her to say hello and continuously hung around and took teeny pieces of food being offered. At one point, he was even right on the heels when walking her. If only we would have had a net, he would now be safe.
Well an automated drop net is something that has been on the wishlist for some time but not only are parts expensive, we need it RIGHT NOW!!
Caryn was still on location as she had brought Kennedy and coffee. She and D.D. were talking about all the options of nets when she mentioned that her hubby, John, was like “MacGyver.” So we had a conversation with him about the idea of a “jungle” net and within an hour, John was also on location constructing!! ❤️ Don’t want to say his name out loud but someone on the team was not very confident about the new plan and did state something like “I am not touching that with a 10’ pole!” probably because there was still hope that the trap or calming signals would win in the end.
In the 90° temps, Sandra Roosna had also come out to relieve Anthony & D.D. by being on a Tony Watch to prevent him from wanting to go back near 101.
Later in the evening when Tony was making his scheduled appearance, we tried a repeat of the morning by taking Kennedy out to gain trust and hand feed. The focus became to position Tony to be comfortable to eat on the net that was laying on the ground. Tony did not resist at all and bam💥, HE IS SAFE.
And guess who pulled the rope?
The guy that we named the pup after! 😂
BIG, HUGE THANKS TO THE VILLAGE THAT GAVE ALL TO SAVE THESE TEENY ONES. ♥️ 💋 ♥️
Run free to the one that didn’t make it and so sorry that your life ended as it did.
In the four days of living on location 24/7, we did not see anyone come and search for these Chihuahuas and have also not noticed any posts in the lost and found FB groups.
It appears that these littles are going to need vet care which will likely include dental work especially if owner is not found. FOUND DANE/ANATOLIAN (?? X) ON 7/17/24
This sweet beauty had been hanging out just off of Highway 8 near the entrance to the Grays Harbor ORV Park for a couple weeks.
Scott had seen the pup and noticed she was limping. He started leaving food and water and also found out that a friend had seen the same pup the week before.
I went out late yesterday afternoon and saw her sunbathing in a field. Someone else was walking out in the field toward her and when he got about 75’ away, this pup got wind of him and stood up and moved into the brush and woods.
I set a 72” trap, sprayed some special sauce, and then left to a nearby parking lot. Not long after, this pup came to investigate the yummies and is now safe.
Not certain how long this pup has been loose but is underweight and has an injury to the front left leg.
Many thanks to Scott for caring, keeping an eye out, and setting up food and water for this beauty. ♥️

07/22/24 Rocko is in fact home now.
——————————————————
07/20/24 SAT 4:30 PM or so
THIS INFO IS NOT CONFIRMED
but I have received much information from others that the owners have reclaimed Rocko from JAS and he is home.
——————————————————
Woke up this morning to three people that had sent a message about this guy on the north side of I5 South near Hobby Lobby. A couple said they had tried to help but he wanted no part of that plan.
I had barely made my latte, when Anthony Pounds calls and says he needs some help with guess what? A dog on the side of I5 South near Hobby Lobby. He was on his way to a doctor’s appointment and got a bit sidetracked.
I found out later, this guy is Rocko and he had owners that had stopped on the side of I5 to take Rocko out. 🙄 Not sure when but Rocko had bitten his owner as he tried to do to us on several occasions. 😩
When I arrived Rocko was on the freeway side and Anthony was on the Hobby Lobby side and had been able to get a slip lead on him. Rocko was being a happy pup one minute and then quite unhappy in less than a second.
We discussed options and decided to place a trap as close to the chain link fence as we could and then let Rocko come underneath and into the trap. Anthony had positioned the lead through the trap and would hold on for dear life. 🤞🏼
Ready? 1, 2, 3!!! Phew, it worked!
So we load the trap and Rocko to take to JAS. We then unload the trap and take it inside the building as we know Rocko would not cooperate and we can’t risk him getting loose again. While at JAS, I found out that the owners had already requested that Rocko be put to sleep as this was not the first time he had bit an owner.
Per state mandate, Rocko must be held in quarantine for 10 days. That is 10 more days of torment and delay of the inevitable. 😩🤬😫 I understand the reason but this is just not fair to him and not in his best interest.
Rocko is just barely a year old. We have no idea of his life up til today or the reasons for his behavior. Whatever it is , I am so sorry.
When your 10 days is complete, please run free and rest in peace.

FOUND DOG
07/13 2:02 PM
Waldrick Rd & Silver Creek Dr SE, Tenino
Laura Baune saw this guy crossing Waldrick Rd and go over to a wooded area and lay in the brush. He appeared injured and seemed unapproachable.
She started contacting neighbors and notified Joint Animal Services. She also contacted Misspits Rescue and they suggested contacting us.
I went on location and several in the neighborhood were trying to make friends with him. He wasn’t cooperating and moved but not very far. We set up a trap. JAS also came to assist and tried to contain him by using a catch pole but the brush and bushes made it too difficult and he once again started moving.
He finally found a spot in the shade and wanted a hard nap. So we moved the trap near that location, sprayed the special sauce, and cleared the area. Twelve minutes later, he was safe and contained having followed the scent right to the trap!! ❤️
Are you the owner or do you know who is?
He appears to be pretty young and has some growing to do to catch up to his feet.
Many thanks to Laura, Tami Lee Skewis Clark, Ashley Nary, and a couple other neighbors for all the help with setup and monitoring of this guy. ♥️

07/14 Owner is still missing!!
FOUND SHEPHERD
For the last couple days, this beauty had been reported to be seen on Sargent Rd SW and Littlerock Rd SW, Rochester. S/he had frequently been seen running on the yellow line in the middle of the road requiring vehicles to come to a complete stop! 😬
Anthony Pounds and I had plans to place additional posters up for another dog but unbeknownst to either of us, modified that plan out of concern for this pup after recent reports of running in the road.
When I had called Anthony to let him know I had loaded up a trap and other supplies and was going to head to Rochester, much to my pleasant surprise, he was already there with eyes on this pup!! ❤️
After I arrived to the area, we both had eyes on the pup and vehicles slowing down or stopping because s/he constantly being in the road! We immediately set up the area and trap and then left the area. Didn’t take long at all for the yummies to be found but s/he was not that interested.
We sat on opposite ends and waited and waited, frequently observing more vehicles almost hit her/him. Then finally after daylight at 5:31 AM, s/he decided to start up the day with a protein packed breakfast!
This pup is now safe and off of those high speed roads.
If you are the owner or recognize this beauty, please reach out.
