We had an inspiring visit yesterday at Chandler School with Tavares, the talented author of Hoops! 📚 Our students had the chance to hear about the origins of this powerful graphic novel, which they read over the summer. Hoops tells the story of the Wilkins Regional High School girls' basketball team in 1975 Indiana, as they fought for gender equality in sports. Tavares’s storytelling, blending fiction with real history, sparked thoughtful discussions about perseverance, equality and the power of teamwork. Thanks for sharing your book with us, Matt! 🏀

Dia de los Reyes Magos is much more than delicious Rosca de Reyes. Spanish Teacher Amanda Vasquez-Alcazar took the opportunity to share the rich history and cultural significance of Dia de los Reyes Magos, which was celebrated on January 6. Students were transported to the traditions of countries like Mexico, Spain and various Latin American cultures that hold this holiday close to their hearts. Read all about it here -->

Before our holiday break, our Middle School students came together for a day filled with unity, kindness and service. The student council hosted 'reindeer games,' from ugly sweater relay races to holiday tune challenges, spreading laughter and joy. Students also stuffed stockings, made snack packs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), and wrapped gifts for Adopt a Family. Read all about the day on our website!

The Spirit of Community Day On December 15, just before the holiday break, Chandler middle schoolers came together for a remarkable day of community spirit and service.

We're beaming with pride as our very own Lester R. '27 made a special appearance on Sesame Street! 🎉 In Season 54, Episode 4, Lester ordered from the Monster Foodie Truck!

What did Gonger🚚 and Cookie Monster 🍪 whip up, you ask? None other than a delicious batch of edamame for a perfect late-night snack! 🌙✨ Chandler students are truly making their mark in the most delightful ways. Good job, Lester!
