From a “Chimpanzee Arm” to a “Crocodile Mouth,” they’ve harnessed nature’s brilliance to tackle real-world challenges. Today in our kindergarten alphabet countdown, we celebrated the letter “Y” for Yoga! 🧘‍♀️✨ As our little yogis stretched and balanced, our instructor reminded us, “Those who think they can do something, and those who think they cannot do something, are both usually right.” What a wonderful lesson in believing in ourselves! Families bonded for a lifetime while exploring the rich history at Allensworth Historical Site, paying their respects at Masis Ararat Cemetery, and having a blast in Sequoia National Park with General Grant. Our annual Hovsepian School Dinner with the Scientists was a resounding success! Yesterday, our 6th-8th grade students had the incredible opportunity to dine and converse with some amazing professionals in the STEM field. A heartfelt thank you to Gayane Anahid Kazarians, a retired Planetary Protection Engineer from JPL; Karineh Gregorian, a Geotechnical & Civil Engineer for SoCalGas; Johnny Sayegh, a seasoned software developer and Project Management Professional; and George Daghlian, an aspiring neurosurgeon-scientist and co-host of the Double Docs Podcast. Your insights and stories inspired our students immensely!

Our 1st and 2nd-grade basketball team had a blast playing a friendly scrimmage against our neighbors, Sahag Mesrob! It was all about fun, sportsmanship, and teamwork on the court!

During Mrs. Claire’s English class, the 7th Graders engage in a Socratic discussion on whether children under 13 should be allowed to have social media. They effectively practiced critical thinking and ethical reasoning while considering various perspectives, including issues related to online safety, privacy, and the impact of social media on mental health and social development. By engaging in this type of discussion, students can develop important communication skills and learn how to respectfully express and defend their opinions while considering the views of others.

Yesterday, our 5th-8th grade students celebrated the rich history of Armenia by honoring the first Armenian Independence Day on May 28, 1918 🇦🇲. They gathered at Hamilton Park for a special day featuring songs, poetry, and personal reflections on Armenian culture. Afterwards, they enjoyed time together, playing and bonding.

Today, we honor and remember the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Third-grade superstars! Our multiplication masters were rewarded with mouthwatering In-N-Out burgers for lunch! 🍔 Hard work definitely pays off, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious treat? Keep shining, everyone! 💫

Yesterday, our 1st-4th grade classes at Hovsepian School held their second Pasadena Conservatory of Music (PCM) concert, showcasing beautiful performances. They also surprised us with a tribute song for the late Charles Aznavour’s 100th birthday.
