Meet Wyatt Howard '19 (middle), a former intramural sports official.

Wyatt shared, "Some of my favorite memories are around officiating. The amazing foundation and training from great people like Ben Strunk and Nelson Santiago helped me get to where I am today as a NCAA D1 Women's Basketball Official, as well as a NCAA D3 Football Official. I went to several NIRSA regional tournaments at Maryland, ECU, UNCW, and Campbell, and represented NC State at the NIRSA National Flag Tournament in 2017 at Pensacola and the NIRSA National Basketball Tournaments in 2018 at Ohio State and 2019 at Wichita State. I also loved playing intramural sports: flag football, soccer, and basketball. A highlight of my time playing is winning the coed basketball championship in 2017. Working for WellRec was amazing. I made lifelong friendships, opened so many doors of opportunity, and greatly shaped who I am today."

I remember I broke my leg in a scrimmage the week before we started playing and I was able to come back for the last regular season game before the playoffs and it was hype we won. A lot of us had played on teams together before and we decided to combine teams to create what was like an all star team."
