Hello STIX Community, the Spokane Valley Rotary Club is looking for Volunteers to help with the fair this week. Please see information and the link below.

Save the date—our annual Share the Experience Dinner and Auction is exactly 6 months away on Saturday, March 8th! We’re thrilled to be back at the Convention Center this year. Tickets will go on sale starting January 1st.

This auction is our only fundraiser of the year, and the funds raised directly support our programs, including sending kids to camp. STIX Diabetes Programs never turns a camper away due to the inability to pay, and your support helps make that possible.

We’re currently seeking sponsorship from businesses to help make this event a success. If you have connections to companies that might be interested in sponsoring, please reach out—helping with sponsorship is an easy and impactful way to support STIX and ensure every child can attend camp, regardless of their financial situation.

🌾🎃 Fall Festival at Beck’s Harvest House 🎃🌾

We’re excited to announce that Beck’s Harvest House is generously donating the use of their Party Tent again for our 3rd Annual Fall Festival on Sunday, September 22nd, from 2-5pm! To show our appreciation, we encourage everyone to arrive early and support the farm, as they’ve been so generous for 3 years now. The farm opens at 10am and features food trucks, Pumpkin Land, and their world-famous pumpkin donuts! 🍩🎃

🔸 Parking: You’ll need to reserve parking in advance, but the passes aren’t available on the website yet. Stay tuned!
🔸 Free Wristbands: Every child with diabetes who RSVPs in advance will receive a free wristband for entry into the Family Farm Funland. This area includes a corn maze, cow train, jump pillow, tire mountain, and more! 🌽🚂🎉 Please note, all attendees entering the Family Farm Funland (both adults and kids) must have a wristband.

School is just around the corner! Are you ready?

✔️ Have you received your school orders from your child's Endocrinologist?
If not, be sure to contact them ASAP!

🔍 Now is the perfect time to double-check your supplies!
Have any of your items expired? Check your glucagon, test strips, and other essentials. These are often used less frequently and may expire unnoticed.

🗓️ Don’t forget to reach out to your school nurse! Coordinate a time to drop off supplies and schedule a back-to-school meeting if necessary.

🌟 Thank You for an Amazing Pool Party! 🌟

We are blown away by the incredible turnout at this year’s pool party—174 people joined us, making it our biggest one yet! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️ Not only did the kids have a blast, but the adults had just as much fun connecting, relaxing, and enjoying the time together.

🌞 Summer Fun Alert! 🌞

Can you believe how fast summer is flying by? Don’t miss out on the perfect way to soak up the sunshine! Join us at the stunning Nine Mile Falls Recreation Area inside Riverside State Park for a day of unforgettable fun on Saturday, August 24th, from 11 AM to 4 PM! 🏞️

We’ve got it all: swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and pure relaxation! 🚣‍♀️🏊‍♂️🛶 So pack your camp chairs, towels, sunscreen, and favorite summer snacks. Plus, we’ll have a personal gas grill ready for your hotdogs and hamburgers – bring your grillables and let’s feast! 🍔🌭

🎉 Special Thanks to Nine Mile Store for generously donating kayaks and paddle boards again this year! 🌊

Important Details:

Bring your own lunch. We’ll have a personal grill available if you want to cook up some hot dogs or hamburgers.
The swimming area is shallow, but please note there are no lifeguards on duty. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
A Discover Pass is required ($10/day or $30/year), purchasable on-site. It’s a great investment for all our future STIX events in state parks! 🌲✨

For those who don't know, Camp TWIGS is our 3-day day camp for children ages 6-8. It’s the best place for our littlest campers to make friends and create lasting memories! 💙

Who says Splashpads are just for kids? Check out the fun everyone had at our Family Outreach Event last Saturday! 🎉 Kids and even some adults enjoyed cooling off in the splashpad, while others relaxed and mingled in the shade. It was a day filled with laughter and community spirit.

Calling all adolescents ages 16-20! Join us for an exciting evening of climbing at The Wild Walls Climbing Gym on Thursday, July 18th, from 6-8 PM. After climbing, we’ll have access to the party room from 8 PM onwards to plan our next big adventure together. Snacks will be provided!

This is your chance to help shape this new program and connect with your peers.

🆓 There’s no cost to attend, but please RSVP to Stitches at [email protected] by Tuesday, July 16th. Be sure to include any dietary restrictions.

Note: If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the online waiver for you to climb.

Let's get outside! 🌞 Join us on Saturday, July 13th, at Mirabeau Park, Discovery Park Playground at noon. Bring your kids to play at the playground or splashpad, and dry off with a stroll on the Centennial Trail. While the kids are having fun, parents can connect, share experiences, and discuss school-related topics like 504 plans.
Bring your sack lunch, sunscreen, water, and get ready for some summer fun! Snacks will be provided.
