We love when patients have a goal to work towards, and we are happy to help you find yours! Bonita was able to run her 38th Bloomsday! Check out her review below!🙌💪
"I really appreciate the quality of care your team provides. I did not have specific diagnosis when I came in, and through the 3 meetings I have had thus far I think Evan has done an excellent job of searching out the source of the problem (quads) not knee like I had thought. I appreciate their willingness to really find the root cause. Stacy has awesome hands and encourages me to keep working on the tight quads as well. Great team! I’m doing my exercises and looking forward to my 38th Bloomsday!"
Happy Fri-yay! 🎉 Big shoutout to Vickie, , for this mouthwatering tart! It lasted a whole 10 minutes before we all started to dig in - our taste buds are still dancing! 🌟 Remember to balance those indulgences with some weekend workouts! 💪
"Meet Denny, a true inspiration in the face of Parkinson's challenges! 💪 Over the last 3 years at ITPT, he's shown incredible dedication to his health journey. Despite classic symptoms like mobility issues and vocal changes, Denny refuses to let Parkinson's hold him back. Today, he's out here with Jason crushing squat med ball tosses, building power and strength while reclaiming his voice. Keep defying the odds, Denny! 🌟 "
🌟This is why we do what we do! So you can get back to doing the things you love! Check out this email from an incredible patient of ours! 💛
“Dear Indian Trail PT,
This has been a long journey filled with major life events. A bad spill from my horse, buying a home, relocation and retirement. A lot to take place within six months. When I finally found a GP within my network here in Spokane I was approved for physical therapy. I have been going to PT twice a week for rehab for a possible tear in the peri-spinal region on the left side. My riding and training is my passion.
I chose YOUR office. I did my homework. I can honestly say that from the moment I walked in the door and spoke with Allie, your receptionist, Brooklyn who starts me out on the bike to the therapists I work with; Evan, Gabe and once with Stacy they have been nothing but professionals and they know my focus is to get stronger and back in the irons.
You have a wonderful group of people. Their dedication and compassion they bring to the job is evident with their clients. I know with the exercises and sessions I can do at home (homework 😑) I’m on the right track.
I’m glad I found them.
Thank you,
Vickie Blouin and Bean”

🔈 PROPRIOCEPTION 🔈
Physiologically, posture and balance are a result of the interaction of a number of sensory feedbacks and the resulting muscular responses. This sensory feedback comes from proprioceptors. The proprioceptors detect any changes in movement or position and any changes in tension, or force, within the body. They are found in all nerve endings of the joints, muscles, and tendons.
1. Pressure sensors in the soles of the feet and proprioceptors in the ankle joints detect the proportion of weight distributed between left and right and between the balls and heels of the feet.
2. The vestibular apparatus of the ears can detect any change in equilibrium, even before it occurs, and send messages to the brain.
3. The eyes detect a level horizon and feedback to the brain causes postural adjustment to try to keep the eyes parallel with that horizon.
4. Neurological structures in muscle and tendon tissue (the muscle spindles and Golgi tendon organs - which are also types of proprioceptors) detect changes in muscle tensions and the rate of that change.

Do you have low back pain? Limited hip mobility? Yoga could be a great fit for you!
Try some of our favorite yoga poses shown for back and hip pain.
1.) Upward Dog
This pose is great for stretching the hip flexors and extending through the lumbar spine. Both of these movements are helpful in reducing tension and tightness through the hips and low back.
2.) Child’s Pose
This pose is great for stretching the low back. Deep breathing while resting your head on the ground is a great way to relieve low back tension. Spreading knees apart and bringing hips down between the heels will increase hip stretch and mobility felt in this pose.
3.) Warrior One
This pose requires hip strength and stability in a way that also opens up and stretches the hips. Stretching and stabilizing through these areas is very important for lower body balance and strength and also helps maintain good mobility.
If these poses worked for you or if you’re wanting to learn more about yoga, join us Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm for our yoga class with Michelle! This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to learn more about yoga and moving their body to improve strength and mobility.
