Merry Christmas from CBC Youth!
For this year’s Christmas Eve service at our church, our youth group had the chance to make a movie titled “A Place For Him” centered around the theme of opening up our hearts for Jesus and remembering that He is the reason that we celebrate Christmas.
We hope the message resonates with you in this season and reminds us that Jesus is the only way to true joy and hope.
INTRODUCING our NEWLY elected officials for 2024-2025‼️SWIPE LEFT to meet the team🫢
Thank you to everyone who participated in our elections! As we enter a new season and term, may God provide steadfast guidance to these chosen leaders. May they be leaders who serve with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. May they glorify His name and advance His kingdom!🙏🏼🤍
Another inspiring fellowship with our church's Evangelism and Mission team is in the books! This past Sunday, we were reminded that as a church, we stand before Jesus as His beloved bride. At times, we may falter or turn away; yet, even in those moments, He is the one who tirelessly pursues us. He is a faithful God who chooses us even when we don’t choose Him. There will come a day when Jesus returns for His bride, and until then, may we be reminded to shed our excuses and embrace His love that's running after us wholeheartedly. Let us become the faithful and pure bride we are called to be and forever keep our gaze fixed upon Him🤍
These past Sundays in May have been an incredible journey as we've dived deep into the meaning of “Servanthood”. Led by the inspiring Pastor .lwin in our English Service and guided by the amazing , , and in Bible Study, we've uncovered foundational truths about this topic. Being a servant means being more like Jesus, as that is the very core of who He is. When we serve, It's not just about "doing," but about "being" with God. Our heart postures matter! The vertical love for God and the horizontal love for people go hand in hand, just like the cross. By serving God and serving others, we play a crucial role in advancing His kingdom. Let's embrace the call to servanthood, transforming our lives and impacting the world around us🤍
We've stepped into May with a fresh topic: "SERVANTHOOD." To kickstart this theme, we began with powerful testimonies during our youth service last week. Instead of focusing on ourselves, we celebrated and shared how we've witnessed each other serving the kingdom of God, whether it was through grand gestures or by the simplest acts. Whether in the spotlight or working behind the scenes, God's ultimate desire is for us to wholeheartedly serve Him out of our love for Him. We are thrilled to delve into this topic in the upcoming weeks and discover the true meaning of servanthood. Let‘s gooo‼️🤩
See you all this coming Sunday for ENGLISH SERVICE
Two weeks ago, we concluded our month-long discussion on "Gender Roles" with an inspiring English Service led by Sayama ‼️
We were privileged to have her join us and share the Word. Drawing from personal experiences, Sayama Christer reflected on her upbringing, witnessing her mother, father, and grandparents preach. She, too, entered Ministry and spoke about how her gender as a woman influenced her experiences in ministry and the way she was treated. While there have been moments when she faced challenges due to her gender, she wholeheartedly embraced Ministry and emphasized that one's gender does not determine their qualification to interpret and speak on Scripture. Instead, it is the depth of our relationship with God and our commitment to seeking truth through daily engagement with the Bible that matter.
In a world where gender may confuse or restrict us, we are all called to serve as priests, evangelists, and believers, advancing God's kingdom as His children. Nothing should hinder us from fulfilling our calling and boldly living out our faith. Let this serve as a reminder to anchor our identity in Christ and spread the good news to every corner of the world🤍🙌🏼
About a week ago, we had a Bible study on 2 Timothy 1 & 2. Thank you to for leading us in discussion and helping us understand the Word better. We talked about how people may have perceptions of Christians, but as believers, we ought to be bold in our faith. We're looking forward to next month's Bible study!
A WEEK ago, we had a youth service led by .ban and on our month topic of “Gender Roles”. They gave a beautiful, in-depth presentation on what it truly means to be a man and woman of God. They emphasized that it's never been about men versus women, but rather men and women together in Jesus. We need each other, and one cannot work without the other. As children of God made in His image, may we love each other as Christ loved us🤍
Yesterday, on Resurrection Sunday, five of our very own youth members publicly declared Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through baptism! Congratulations to Frankie, Zungni, Victoria, Chit Su, and Sengton! May you never stop chasing the Lord in all that you do, and may you continue to be a light to the nations and those around you by sharing your faith and hope in Jesus. You were once dead, but are now alive! Let this be an encouragement for all, and let us rejoice!✝️
Hey, everyone👋🏼! This past Sunday, we had testimonies based on the new topic of the month: Gender Roles! We were able to be open and vulnerable with one another about our experiences of becoming men and women in this day and age. It was a great start to our exploration of this important topic. As we continue our discussions, we'll deepen our understanding of what it means to be a woman or man of God. We're excited to delve further into this topic and grow together in our faith🤍👫🏻
Pics from last week’s Bible study on 1 Timothy 5 & 6!!! Thank you for leading us in group discussions and helping us understand the word better. We look forward to next months Bible study!!
See you all at todays youth service with a new theme for the month🫶🏻
A glimpse of last week’s youth service based on our month’s topic of the “Influence of Social Media”!!
Our topic leaders discussed the challenges of using social media, including comparison, isolation, and the fear of missing out. During these times, it's best to put down our phones and turn to the Bible for guidance. Let's focus on the word instead of the world. Let’s focus on what God says about us instead of what people online say🙏🏼
… and see you all TODAY for Bible study👀
Last Sunday's English Service offered a powerful reminder of the role social media plays in our spiritual lives. While social media has expanded our ways of connection and outreach, it can also serve as a "weapon of mass distraction." It can be easier to post on social media than to pray, to Snapchat instead of having meaningful conversations with people who need our testimony, or to spend time on TikTok instead of counting the time and days we spend with the Lord. However, as believers, we must choose eternity over the distraction disguised as entertainment. We must be reminded that the Bible tells us to do everything for the glory of God🙌🏼📱
… And we have youth service tomorrow!!! Pop out and we’ll see you there👀🫣
This past Sunday at youth, we had testimonies !! We started a discussion on the topic of the influence of social media in our lives. We were able to share with one another both the positive and negative impacts social media can have on our faith. As believers in this day in age let us use the platforms we have on social medias to glorify God🙌🏼
This past Sunday, we had Bible study based on 1 Timothy 3-4! We were able to discuss and share with one another the topics covered in the chapters. These chapters provided valuable guidance for how we Christians should live and lead. Paul emphasized the importance of character, discerning sound doctrine, perseverance, and spiritual growth🙏🏼
See you this SUNDAY for testimonies at youth👀
2.19.2023📸
This past Sunday at youth, we wrapped up this month's topic of "Loneliness with God." Our topic leaders for the month, and , gave an amazing presentation and got us into discussion groups. We were able to have conversations about how we cope with loneliness and the role God plays in those moments.
See you this coming Sunday for Bible Study based on 1 Timothy 3-4!!👀
Loneliness. Loneliness is not just a feeling or emotion, but an absence of our true nature. As youth, loneliness is something we all have experienced or are experiencing, right? 👥
———
Loneliness is actually not necessarily a bad thing. It can be a good thing and it can be purposeful! Purposeful, but under one condition, which is when it is time SPENT with GOD. If our loneliness does not draw us closer to God, it is meaningless.
———
What does God want for us? Well, as believers in Christ, we need to remember that we are meant to be in community and in fellowship. We are not meant to do life alone. What God wants from our moments in loneliness is WORSHIP 🙌🏼 That is how we respond. We respond by acknowledging Him and giving him all the glory 🫂
