Gender-based violence against s*x workers is a serious and pervasive issue that intersects with various forms of discrimination and marginalization. S*x workers, who are often stigmatized and criminalized, face higher risks of violence due to the nature of their work and the societal attitudes surrounding it.
Delaying the process of decriminalization can indeed contribute to the perpetuation of harmful conditions for s*x workers. Criminalization can drive s*x work underground, making it more difficult for s*x workers to access legal protections and services. Gender-based violence is a significant concern in the s*x trade, and some argue that decriminalization could help address this issue.
