Proper nutrition supports energy levels, endurance, and recovery, contributing to overall athletic success. Key aspects of nutritional strategies for handball players include . . .

1. Energy demands: Handball is a high-energy sport that requires a sufficient intake of calories to meet the energy demands of training and competition.
2. Hydration: Dehydration can lead to fatigue, decreased coordination, and impaired decision-making on the court.
3. Pre-Game Nutrition: Consuming a balanced meal or snack before a match ensures that players have the necessary fuel.
4. Post-Game Recovery: Proper recovery nutrition is vital for muscle repair and glycogen replenishment.

Athletes who prioritize nutrition as an integral part of their training regimen are better equipped to meet the physical demands of handball, enhance endurance, and support overall health and performance!

Sponsors play a crucial role in supporting our organization by enabling us to reduce player fees and maintain affordable registration costs. Your sponsorship directly contributes to essential aspects such as team uniforms, equipment, field rental, maintenance, referees, and travel costs.

While we are fortunate to have amazing corporate and community partners, the organization, run mainly by volunteers, incurs various operating expenses. By becoming a sponsor, you not only contribute to the success of players and coaches but also become a valued member of our handball family.

To explore sponsorship opportunities, reach out to Audrey Kotelniski, our director of fundraising and sponsorship, at [email protected]. 🤾‍♂️💙

Heartfelt congratulations to Julius Fodor on earning your place in the 2024 Alberta Sports Hall of Fame!

Julius Fodor, a key figure in Alberta's team handball growth from 1963, coached high school teams and founded the 'Edmonton Canucks.' His pivotal role expanded to events like the Alberta Winter Games, the Western Canada Games, and the Canadian Team Handball Federation.
