A massive thank you to Rock Jungle for having us as one of their monthly Charity Partners in 2024!

Each month, they choose a local charity, and every Tuesday from 11am-3pm, Rock Jungle hosts a 'Charity Climb' at all locations! Instead of buying a day pass, you may a minimum $10 donation to their charity of the month.

During KidSport Edmonton's month, Rock Jungle climbers raised $1,719 which will support at least 7 KidSport Kids this year!

On June 15th, 150 kids, many of them KidSport Kids participated in a free day of sport participation at Super Sports Day!

A massive thank you to Kinsmen Club of Edmonton, and the Kinsmen Club planning committee for organizing and hosting such a great event that will live in the memory of KidSport kids for years to come!

A huge thank you to Edmonton Elks Football Club, Edmonton Huskies Football, and Edmonton Stingers for showing up, sharing your expertise, and putting smiles on all the kid's faces! 🙌🏈🏀

One last thank you to all the volunteers who made this FREE day possible!🙏

Physical literacy is so important for kids, and this day gave the kids an introduction to the skills utilized in soccer, basketball, floor hockey, and football.

The Rogers Charity Classic takes place August 14-18, 2024 in Calgary and is the only Canadian stop on the PGA TOUR Champions

A philanthropic group backs the tournament, and since 2012 the group has supported more than 270 charitable groups and raised $112 million for children in need through the Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink (BFK) program.

KidSport's Bids for Kids presented by GS CONSTRUCTION was an amazing success!

A big thank you to Dustin Nielson, Tom Gazzola, and Shawn Belle from the team at Edmonton Sports Talk and Oilers Cult Hero, Georges Laraque for putting on a great hot stove for the crowd during the evening. They certainly had our guests captivated and entertained throughout their show.

A heartfelt thank you to Dieu-merci for sharing his family's story and bringing attention to the positive impact of KidSport in his life. We also want to express our gratitude to Reed Clarke from Sport Edmonton for leading our cash call, and to CBC's Mark Connolly for serving as the event's emcee. Thank you to our volunteers, without you, these events would not be possible.

A big thank you to our Corporate Partners and all of our guests for creating equal access to sports for KidSport kids through purchasing tickets, participating in raffles, and bidding on some amazing silent auction items!

The Highlights!
🔸$65,000+ net was raised which subsidizes sport registration fees for at least 260 KidSport kids
🔸Donations came through 22 Corporate Partners, 34 Silent Auction items, 1 Live Auction item, a Beer Raffle with 100 beers, a 50/50, ticket sales and through the Cash Call

Appreciation Spotlight!

Behind the scenes at KidSport we have an extremely hard working volunteer Board of Directors, Fund Development and Event Committees and General Volunteers.

A big thank you to Mark Connolly who served as a Director on the KidSport Edmonton Board for 6 years (2016-2022)! We're so grateful that Mark's contributions continue to this day with our Event Committee, and that he's always excited to emcee at events like Bids for Kids!

An absolute gem within the KidSport community, thank you so much for everything you've done and continue to do! You can catch Mark on CBC morning radio show in Edmonton, and you'll see him on the screens this summer at the Paris Olympics!

As of June 30, 2024, KidSport Edmonton has created equal access to sports programs for 2,376 local KidSport kids, distributing $531K of donor dollars back into the local sports community through subsidized sports registration fees.

KidSport Edmonton is on track to fund a record number of local and eligible KidSport Kids in 2024.

We couldn't do this without our amazing donors and volunteers, a massive thank you to everyone for helping us get to this point, and we can't wait to put more smiles on KidSport kid's faces over the next 6 months!

The students at Lillian Osborne Hight School who lived up to their 'Legends' name as they raised $12,901 for KidSport Edmonton this year at their Teachers vs Students hockey game!🙌

Your amazing work will ensure that 50+ KidSport Kids get into their sport this year. Thank you!🙏

Students were required to raise $250 in pledges to play, and they smashed their original goal of $5,000. Congrats to the top 3 pledgers who all received an authentic Edmonton Oilers jersey!🧡💙

Last week, The Jason Gregor Show on Sports 1440 held the 4th Annual Gregor's Giving Gang fundraiser in coordination with KidSport Week.
