Saving Belfast’s Assembly Rooms notice of a petition and a Manifestation on Saturday at 2:30

Friends,

Our campaign to save the historic Assembly Rooms for the public and for appropriate cultural uses has reached a critical point. Indications are that the City Council is moving to acquire the building but we must maintain the momentum.

As part of this weekend's Harps Alive Festival we will stage a Manifestation outside the Assembly Rooms at 2.30pm on Saturday. We need a maximum turnout. In the meantime our petition making the case for saving the Assembly Rooms for public and appropriate cultural uses has so far gathered 1,800 signatures. We must do better. If you haven't signed up do please do so. In any case recruit your friends and associates.

Baroque and Historical / Early Dance Classes with Philippa Waite, UK 30/12/2023

I thoroughly recommend Philippa Waite as a teacher of baroque dance. Her clarity on rhythm is particularly beneficial for musicians interested in this repertory.
