👏Congratulations to Arthia S., MCC’s Surgical Technology student, on receiving the Cook County Health Provident Scholarship for the second year in a row!

Arthia shared the significant impact the $10,000 scholarship has had on her journey toward career success:

“I am deeply honored to have been awarded the Cook County Health Provident Scholarship for the second consecutive year. This scholarship has significantly alleviated my post-graduation debt while also providing support for housing and transportation expenses. By removing these financial obstacles, the scholarship has allowed me to concentrate fully on my studies and overcome past challenges that have impacted my educational journey. I encourage all students to do their best throughout their program and apply for any scholarship opportunities presented to them.”

Midwestern Career College (MCC) is proud to announce the opening of its new campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The campus, located at 7261 Engle Rd, Suite 400, Middleburg, OH, will start instruction in the Fall of 2024.

Programs offered at Cleveland campus include Associate of Applied Science degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology, and diplomas in Clinical Medical Assisting, as well as Cyber Security, and Data Science.

MCC had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Jason Altmire, the President and CEO of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU).

Dr. Altmire visited our Chicago campus and met with MCC's CEO, Jeremy Oberfeld and other campus leaders. His visit included a tour of our allied health, business, and English as a Second Language programs at Chicago campus locations.

MCC appreciates Dr. Altmire for his visit, and would like to thank him and CECU for their leadership in career education sector.

Our Business students got a chance to meet with Stanley Escobar, an Airport Operations Manager at United Airlines.

Stanley, a former F-1 student, shared his inspiring journey from being an international student to becoming a manager in a large US company. He talked about how his customer service experience helped him excel in communication with different groups of people.

“Be open to career changes. Discovering new paths and taking new opportunities in your professional life can be the key to achieving even greater success than you have ever imagined.”

Our students were inspired by Stanley's successful career journey and learned a lot about the importance of taking chances.

Our IT students met with Blad Moreno, a software engineer and technology manager from Accenture.

Blad gave an overview of his work as a current Cloud Solutions Manager and shared insights of his journey from an F1 student to a managerial position in a US tech company.

Our students were inspired by his career path and learned a lot about the importance of networking, soft skills, and business communication.

Thank you to our partners from WellNow Urgent Care for giving students at our Evergreen Park and Downtown Chicago campuses an overview of current job and externship opportunities.

On Monday, April 1st, Jessica Segura (Multi Site Manager), Alecia Williams (Regional Director of Operations), and on Thursday, April 11, Amanda Manasra (Regional Director of Operations) and Haneen Dawud (Multi Site Manager) from WellNow Urgent Care visited our Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy classes to present on how to start a career in the medical assisting field.

They gave our students at MCC an insightful view of resume presentation, training, the importance of networking, externship opportunities, and how to get a job as a medical assistant.

It was an enriching experience and a great opportunity for our students to connect with future employers.
