With the semester in full swing, here are the library academic year hours! Find your favorite study spot here among the books 📚
▪ Monday through Thursday: open from 7:45 a.m. to midnight (12 a.m.)
▪Friday: open from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
▪Saturday: closed
▪Sunday: open from noon (12 p.m.) to midnight (12 a.m.)
Bikes are BACK! You can now check out a Cobbike at the library. Thank you for your patience as we worked with Concordia College Sustainability to get everything ready!
Important to know: there is a new check out process for the bikes and may take upwards of 15 minutes to complete. But once you've checked out a bike, you can use the bike for 24 hours from check out! 🚲

📣Excited to announce that William Kent Krueger’s book “The River We Remember” has been selected as the title for the 2024 One Book, One Community reading project. The project is organized through a collaborative partnership of the Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo public libraries, Concordia College’s Carl B. Ylvisaker Library, Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Livingston Lord Library, North Dakota State University Libraries and the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County.

• Copies of the book are available for checkout in several formats at each of the participating libraries.
• A list of related events and resources will be available at each participating library and online starting July 15.
• An author presentation by William Kent Krueger will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Concordia College.
• This project is made possible in part with funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the Lake Agassiz Regional Library; additional support provided by Concordia Cultural Events, Friends of the Fargo Public Library, Friends of the West Fargo Public Library, and Friends of the Moorhead Library.

We love being part of orientation! This is an exciting time for our first-year and transfer students as they learn all about what Concordia has for them - including us, the Carl B. Library!
We're getting so excited for classes to start! Here are the library hours up until Friday, August 30th which is when regular academic hours will begin (to be posted later).
▪August 19th through August 27th: Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
▪Closing early on Tuesday, August 20th: Open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (for the State of the College Address
▪Closed on Saturday, August 24th through Sunday, August 25th
The library will be closed this upcoming Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th because of Independence Day. Have a wonderful and safe holiday!

Readings & Conversation at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 – Knutson Campus Center Centrum
Join guest moderator John Ydstie ’74 for a thought-provoking conversation about books and writing with Kristen Radtke, author of “Seek You: A Journey Through American Loneliness.” Widely acclaimed, her book has been praised as “a resonant, haunting volume of graphic non-fiction.” The Readings and Conversation event is free and open to the public. A reception and book signing will take place in the Knutson Campus Center Atrium following the event.

Rainbows have sprung in the Curriculum Collection! Students in the Education 201: Teaching Art in the Elementary Schools, taught by Dr. Sue Ellingson, have crafted these watercolor books which are currently on display in the library. While recent snowfall echoes winter, these colorful projects remind us spring is soon!
