It’s always such a pleasure to play with PostClassical Ensemble. Here’s the review of last night’s performance:
Review | PostClassical Ensemble opens the new year with ‘Amazing Grace’ PostClassical Ensemble’s “Amazing Grace: In Paradisum” had its sights firmly set on heaven above — and even managed to deliver us there a few times.
The opera Dead Man Walking was the final jeopardy answer tonight. Apparently it was performed at Sing Sing with a chorus of 14 inmates. That must have been a powerful experience. I remember how hard it was to get through without crying every time at Central City Opera. Performing music is amazing, but when it has a crucial message to share, it makes it even more meaningful.
