This past week, Temple University hosted the Green Building United annual Sustainability Symposium. 🏙️🌱

Through engaging sessions and tours of our own Charles Library and Verdant Temple master landscaping plan, 400 sustainability professionals and lifelong learners got the chance to build connections and exchange ideas that empower collective steps towards a more sustainable built environment for all. 🌇🌼

With the help of Bennett Compost, Re:Dish Co, and our EcoReps, this symposium was our first zero-waste event at Temple University's student center and showcased our ongoing dedication to cultivating a culture of sustainability on campus. 🍽️🗑️♻️

Thank you so much to the attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers, and staff who made it all possible. 💚🌎

We're thrilled to share the incredible success of this year's Temple Thrift Pop-Up. Thanks to the unwavering support from our fantastic community, we raised a remarkable $7,275, marking an impressive increase of over $500 from last year's campaign!

Over 70 dedicated volunteers joined forces to make Temple Thrift 2023 a resounding success. Your passion and commitment truly made a difference!

All the clothes sold during the event were sourced from a whopping 4,579 lbs of clothing generously donated and sorted during Give and Go Green in the spring moveout of 2023.

Since the inception of Temple Thrift in 2019, we've collectively raised an incredible $23,589 to support the Cherry Pantry. This long-term commitment highlights the power of collective giving and its positive impact on our community.

We want to express our deepest thanks to everyone who contributed, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. Temple Thrift is a celebration of community, sustainability, and giving back.
