It's Pride 🏳️‍🌈 Month!

Tracing its roots to the Stonewall Riots in 1969, Pride Month is a vibrant and inclusive celebration that honors the LGBTQ+ community, their history, achievements, and ongoing struggle for equality. This annual event serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, diversity, and love. It brings together individuals, organizations, and communities to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and celebrate the progress made towards a more inclusive society.

Let's talk about SAND!

The sandbox is a year-round favorite part of our playground, and even though it probably seems like you end up with half the sandbox in your car at the end of the day, have you ever thought about what your kids are learning/developing from all that sand?

🧹Proprioception - the feeling of the sand and the uneven surface helps them build balance and learn where their body is in space;
🧹Social skills - working together to dig or build;
🧹Sharing - because there are so many cool toys!;
🧹Teamwork - it takes more than one person to dig a huge hole;
🧹Unstructured outdoor play...and so much more!

Today, we commemorate and honor all who have bravely served in the military and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

Let us honor and remember those individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Founded in 1947, Easterseals Washington empowers children and adults with disabilities across the state through our transformative programs and services.

We are grateful for all of our staff, volunteers, and donors. Because of you, our life-changing work is possible! 🧡

It's Teacher Appreciation Week, and we're so thankful for all the fun and celebrations that have been bestowed upon our staff this week! Of course, we think our teachers are the BEST 🥇 ones around!
