Housing assistance program reopens applications after eight years SPOKANE, Wash. - Finding affordable and stable housing in Spokane has become a challenge.
The average rent for a ONE bedroom apartment in Spokane right now is $1,100.00
Spokane Housing Authority currently hires third-party inspectors to ensure that units it owns or manages are compliant with Housing Quality Standards and considered “rent reasonable” for the Housing Choice Voucher program. Spokane Housing Authority is proposing to use its own trained employees in addition to third-party inspectors for these purposes.
Spokane Housing Authority is proposing this change as a participant of HUD’s Moving to Work Demonstration Program.
Clients, residents, landlords, and the general public are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the above noted item on June 25th, 2024, at 1:00 PM at 25 W Nora Ave, Spokane.

Free parking and accessibility for people with disabilities is available; call 509-252-7125 if you or a family member needs to request a reasonable accommodation.
