Stay safe this holiday season! Did you know meningitis is spread through saliva? 💧Someone can spread meningitis even if they aren’t feeling sick. Enjoy the winter break and spend time with family and friends, but avoid sharing personal items! You can also talk to your healthcare provider about a Meningitis B vaccine.
Consider getting a Meningitis B vaccine this winter break! ❄️ If you're heading home, talk to your healthcare provider about the vaccine - your provider may be able to administer it or give you a prescription you can take to a local pharmacy. Most pharmacists, including DrugSmart on campus, will administer the vaccine.
This vaccine is mostly covered through supplementary health and dental plans, including the AMS and SGPS plans.
High-risk students may book an appointment to receive a free vaccine at Student Wellness Service's January 10th clinic (see link in our bio for details and eligibility criteria).
