The Government will be providing an additional $4.1 billion in support, taking into account the enhancements to MediShield Life scheme. The enhancements to the scheme will provide Singaporeans with better protection against major health episodes and make new types of care more affordable.

Today, the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC), chaired by Minister Indranee Rajah, has published a report today on the review of Singapore's anti-money laundering framework.

The IMC’s recommendations and accompanying measures will strengthen the three key prongs underpinning Singapore’s AML framework – “Proactive Prevention, Timely Detection, Effective Enforcement”.

Singapore remains open for business and welcome clean funds and legitimate investments, which generate economic growth, generate jobs and create real value for our people. However, we will be inhospitable to illicit funds, and will not hesitate to take action against criminal activities.

This coming October, eligible HDB households will receive up to $190 worth of U-Save and up to 1 month of Service & Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates as part of the permanent GST Voucher (GSTV) scheme. These rebates help to provide support for GST and cost-of-living expenses for lower- to middle-income households.

This October’s rebates will be the third quarterly disbursement for Financial Year 2024.

The Singapore Green Bond Framework is a key pillar of Singapore’s efforts to channel investments into projects that will advance our sustainability efforts and contribute towards our net zero goal.

Today, we launched the second edition of our Singapore Green Bond Report, which provides an update on the progress made in our national green bond programme.

In Financial Year (FY) 2023, $2.1 billion of green bond proceeds were allocated to finance the development of the Jurong Region Line and Cross Island Line.

These projects support the “Sustainable Living” pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and will bring us one step closer to achieving our goal of significantly reducing land transport emissions! 🌳🚃
