New Database - Polling the Nations
The College Library now subcribes to Polling the Nations, which is a critically acclaimed online database of public opinion polls. The polls feature 750,000+ poll questions covering hundreds of breaking-news events, including the 2020 presidential election, COVID-19, climate change, and Black Lives Matter, and thousands of topics, including affirmative action, criminal justice reform, immigration, voting rights, and many more.
Polling the Nations brings together thousands of polls going back more than a third of a century, giving students the tools they need to investigate, analyze, and think critically about the important challenges facing the world—a must-have database for any institution.
To access this, and other databases, from off-campus, first log into the Library from MyCCP (under Student Quick Links). Click on the Databases tab, then A-Z Database List.

In observation of Women’s History Month, the College Library recognizes, Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts, Assistant Professor, English, author of Black Joy, stories of resistance, resilience, and restoration.
Professor Lewis-Giggetts is the author of 15 books. Her writing has been widely published in various newspapers and magazines. Black Joy can be found in the leisure collections of the Main Campus and Northwest Regional Center Libraries.
