What do the springs on our reformers mean?
1 x Yellow spring 💛
The yellow spring is the lightest spring option. It is equivalent to a 1/4 spring tension.
1 x Blue spring 💙 The blue spring is the medium spring. It equals to a 1/2 spring tension
3 x Red springs ❤️ Our red springs are the heaviest spring, equalling 1 full spring. All 3 red springs have the same tension.
Overall, the springs will determine the amount of resistance on your reformer.
Our instructors will always provide you with different spring levels for each exercise to ensure that the resistance suits you!

We're excited to have Kristina joining the Return Pilates team 💫
Kristina completed her Pilates training back in 2014 and has been teaching all different styles since; including mat, studio, reformer, clinical and dance conditioning.
She delivers a well-rounded Pilates workout with a focus on strength and flexibility throughout the whole body, leaving you with smiling from head to toe!
Alongside Pilates, Kristina has an extensive background in professional dance, dance teaching as well as personal training.
Fun fact: You may have seen Kristina as captain for Melbourne Storm Cheerleading Squad back in the early 2010's 💃🏻

The jump board is only used in Elevation classes place of the foot bar on the reformer for a low impact form of cardio.

How consistently should you do Pilates? 💭
This answer is different for everyone!
You can participate in as many classes a week as you feel you can manage. Pilates can be done every day if desired!
If Pilates is your only form of exercise, we recommend beginning with 2-4 times a week and progressing from there.
If you do your Pilates sessions alongside other forms of exercise during the week, it is best to aim for 1-3 sessions depending on what you can achieve.
This can all depend on your personal goals, your schedule, and how your body responds after your classes. There is no right or wrong!

Lara has always been active and played high impact sports. Over the years she decided that her body needed a change from jumping and jolting movements which is where she discovered Pilates.
