New Webinar! Understanding GASB 96

Effective for fiscal years beginning after June 15, 2022, GASB 96, Subscription-Based Information Technology Arrangements, provides guidance on the accounting and financial reporting for subscription-based information technology arrangements (SBITAs) for government end-users. This standard applies the same philosophy as GASB 87, Leases, in that it will require a right-to-use asset and a corresponding liability to be recorded for certain IT arrangements, most commonly applicable to software licensing.

New York State Government Finance Officers Association is again partnering with the Marriott Albany, Discover Albany, and spearheading efforts to provide Food Recovery Services to the Capital City Rescue Mission in downtown Albany.

Did you know that 1.2 pounds in recovered food = 1 USA meal? We are very proud that we will be providing some meals to those individuals in our community who are less fortunate.

This 2-session Microsoft Excel® Basics Program is designed for people new to Excel®, those who may not use it much, or have not used it in a while. The program covers basic topics and many tips for more effectively working in the Excel® environment.

Specific topics covered over both sessions include Excel’s® spreadsheet structure, locking rows and columns, cell fills, entering text, numbers, formulas, and functions, basic Excel® functions, shrink to fit, cell reference, criteria-based counts and sums, conditional formatting, creating drop downs, basic ‘if’ statements, working with tables (sorting and filtering, table formatting) and printing options.
