In collaboration with the Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs at NEIU, SCS will be co-facilitating Sister Talk, a weekly support group for women/femme students of color at 3:00pm on Wednesdays! The group meets in-person at APCDIA B-166. No need to register, just show up! Join us today in a couple hours!

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION is BACK and IN-PERSON! Student Counseling Services (SCS) is excited to announce that we are offering Mindfulness Meditation sessions every Monday and Thursday during the Fall 2022 semester. Join us to learn and practice how to relax your body and calm your mind - using guided meditation, relaxation techniques, and gentle stretching!

Faculty, staff and students are eligible to attend meditation sessions. All levels of experience are welcome.

The sessions start promptly at 12:10 p.m. and last for about 30-35 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in at the front desk of SCS, located in Room B-119. No appointment is necessary. No special equipment is necessary.

Student Counseling Services is so excited 🤗 to announce that we are now offering a NEW skills-based support group: Level Up with Life Hacks! Free and open to all students, this is a collaborative support group where students can share and receive life skills. It will take place online via Zoom on Wednesdays at 3pm during the Fall 2022 semester. No registration required, just click on the Zoom link and show up! You can pick and choose which groups you want to attend, as each session will be focused on a different topic, such as relationships/dating, procrastination, test anxiety, addictive behaviors/social media, etc. ***See flyer below for specific topics and dates!***

The Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs (Pedroso Center) is kicking off the 2022 Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month with a presentation from their APIDA Student Engagement Graduate Assistant, Rignesha Prajapati (she/they). Rignesha will provide a brief overview of the acronym, history of the community, and a resource guide which can be used to understand APIDA students in higher education context.

e nina jay's performance is co-sponsored by the NEIU KNOW More S*xual Violence Prevention program, the NEIU-CCICS Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies and the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

e nina jay is a poet who uses words to

to find and create
different pathways to liberation
in the reach to live
as whole human beings
