and showcasing some of the tightest technique in the room š¤
Iām honored to say these clients have become strong weight-yielding ROLE MODELS for both myself and the women around themā¦.
It was a privilege to switch roles this weekend and, instead of competing alongside them, I got to coach, judge and cheer them on throughout the day. šš§¢

Most of us arenāt treating ourselves that wellā¦ somewhere.
So how can I treat someone better than Iām treating myself?
I canāt. Not long-term at least.
And alsoā¦ what about how the OTHER person wants to be treated?
What nuances do they care about, not to be filtered through my own lens?
What if we added some dimension to that golden rule?
Treat others,
The way THEY want to be treated.
Treat yourself,
The way you want people to treat you.
What if a way through this WHOLE mess we get ourselves inā¦is about discovering the answer and actions to,

She was my mentor & RKC coach when I got my RKC Level 1 qualification many years ago, and was my conditioning coach for my last few MMA fights. Sheās an elite athlete with an amazing mindset. Canāt wait to see her progression in . Such a great addition to the female lionesses at the gym!
I showed up only to cheer for friends at the 2022 Pull-up Park Jamā¦ found myself on a pull up barā¦ ended up on a podiumāØ
2nd OVERALL
3rd in the pull ups
2nd place in squats, push ups, dips (through a horrendous double tie breaker!!)
I am genuinely proud of myself. Earlier this year, I had a tough surgery that took away training, stretching, and a lot of Normal daily function for 12 weeks. I couldnāt even shower myself for 2 weeks.
To say this challenged my mind, heart and body is an understatement. Resilience doesnāt come easy, it is well-earned. I am continuously fascinated by the brilliance of the human body.
I didnāt train for thisā¦ I train hard *for nothing*ā¦
Itās a love of the game.
I always feel so inspired by these incredible athletes; it was immensely fun to compete along side them ā¦ especially these two queens .as.a.findley and .
Every event is 2:00 with the strictest possible form-judgement:
Pull up rig has a wall set up only inches in front of you demanding absolute 0 forward movementā¦
Push ups are on blocks with string you have to hit @ *below ground* depthā¦
Squats place a string 8ā below kneesā¦ my quads are practically immobilized today. š
Dips demand straight lines with a wall your feet canāt touch behind you.
I learned new territory in my body and upped my own movement integrity with the level of strictness required. Iām grateful for the lessons. Thank you to for holding us accountableāØ

From all the over-thinking and non-productive attempts of āsolvingā currently spinning me out.
It might be to believe, but I donāt always want to move -

Delivering me back to my work after a couple short hours with a fresh set of eyes ears, greater connectivity to my heartā¦ and so also,
Some really groovy openings in the creative process that was SO stuck.
And thereās nothing like a guttural scream to move some snagged inner edges around.
Movement IS medicine. The key is remembering to take it, even when you donāt want toā¦š„šāØ

Post-surgery, I rested 7 weeksā¦
Truly rested.
Tuned into my nervous system
Took daily walks.
To be in nature. To feel connected. To be outside.
I breathed into every space of my body in focused practiceā¦ softening into the pain rather than fighting it.
I reminded myself to trust my body is healing. To trust in its resilience, itās brilliance, itās magic.
This helps me relax even moreā¦
Space to thread a new potential.
So that I could visualize myself doing pull ups before I go to bed ā¦and authentically feel them in my body. Why? Because theyāre one of my favorite things to feelā¦ And also the brain stores information as if I did it.
I pictured lots of movements - like pistol squats and barbell squats and back flips.
My point is,
This was my first weightlifting day in seven weeks, and I have never shown up stronger after such a long time off. But Iām not special - these practices are. To be repeated by anyone. In any hard spacesāØ
